Why is Golden Milk Good for You?

1. Curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, is known to have anti-inflammatory properties. So this soothing milk is good for inflammatory disorders and to help relieve sore muscles.

3. Turmeric can help to aid digestion, and it has antimicrobial and antifungal properties.

 

Can Golden Milk help you sleep?

Yes, turmeric is said to help you get some good quality shut-eye. To start with, drinking something warm at bedtime can be part of a calming bedtime ritual, and golden milk is a caffeine-free option. It’s a really good alternative to caffeine-laden coffee or tea before bedtime. What’s more, initial studies on its effect on mice suggest it can help protect against sleep deprivation. How to make Golden Milk

Here are two of our go-to Golden milk recipes:

Golden milk spice tea blend ingredients:

2 tbsp turmeric

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 tsp ground ginger

¼ tsp black pepper

Sprinkle of cayenne pepper

Store this spice mix in a sealed jar; warm up a glass of Plenish cashew milk before bed, add a teaspoon of the spice mix, and enjoy.

 

Golden Milk – Turmeric and Ginger Latte

Serves 1

Turmeric and Ginger Latte Ingredients

1 teaspoon ground turmeric

1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/6 teaspoon ground ginger

1 cup Plenish cashew milk

A drop of vanilla to taste

Lightly toast the spices in a dry pan for a couple of minutes or until the fragrance starts to spread. Take it off the heat and slowly add the milk. Froth to desired texture using an electric milk frother, then pour into a cup and enjoy.
